Our Group of Companies
Bermuda-based Montpelier Re Holdings Ltd. began underwriting in December 2001 through its Bermuda subsidiary, Montpelier Reinsurance Ltd. In June 2007, we received approval from Lloyd’s for the commencement of trading on July 1st 2007 of a new Syndicate, to be known as Montpelier Syndicate 5151 (“MRE”). The Syndicate will accept business from our wholly-owned MGA, Montpelier Underwriting Inc. (“MUI”), which is based in Hartford, Connecticut.
